About Us
Welcome to Mory House, our award winning, family owned and run bed and breakfast in beautiful Southbourne.
On the east of Bournemouth is Southbourne: a buzzing coastal suburb, with a lively cluster of independent & award winning restaurants, brewpubs, tap rooms, cafes and retail shops. Mory House is situated midway along Grand Avenue, a wide tree-lined avenue that joins the high street to the clifftop with its fantastic views from the Isle of Wight over to the Purbecks. From there, a zig-zag path, steps or the cliff lift take you down to enjoy Bournemouth’s beautiful seven miles of Blue Flag beaches.
This lovely Edwardian property was established as Mory House by us in 2004 after previously having many guises over its lifetime including its time as the Bournecliffe Hotel and as an English school for Japanese students. Luckily, it still retains some handsome original features whilst having the modern facilities you would expect. It is still happily run by Jane and Patrick, who very much enjoy what they do.
We pride ourselves on our very high standards from guest rooms, to service, to breakfast.

Best Breakfast Ever!
Excellent Service and the best breakfast ever. We took out little one and we all felt very welcome. Great Location as it is so short distance to the beach and to the shops. We definitely are coming back to visit Jane & Patrick.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. So many little extras that were really appreciated. Gorgeous decor. Close to shops and cafes and the beach too! Some lovely places to eat locally. Definitely recommend and will be back!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Mory House. Jane made me feel so comfortable and welcome. They provide lots of little extras which made my stay amazing. Breakfast was delicious each and every day. You will not be disappointed!
So Well Decorated
I can't think of any, even tiny, details that Mory House has overlooked. For example, we had the last room available so it was up in the roof with some sloping walls and a tiny bathroom. But it was so well decorated and equipped that...
