  We travelled down to Southbourne to celebrate a birthday & as we are familiar with the area we decided to book our stay at Mory House.

Jane greeted us on arrival & showed us to our room which was fantastically appointed with modern & clean furnishings with an array of teas & coffees that would suit everyone. A bonus is a fridge with complimentary snacks & drinks including fresh milk for your morning cuppa.
We both slept soundly in a really comfortable bed & in the morning the amazing breakfast was brought to our room consisting of summer berries with a yoghurt dressed with honey & pistachios followed by sausage & egg which was incredible & set us up for the day.
Nothing was to much trouble for our hosts Jane & Patrick, they were brilliant. If your thinking of staying here, stop thinking & book, you won’t be disappointed.

The breakfast was out of this world, best breakfast I have had at a hotel or bed & breakfast. Mory House is a must stay hotel in the area and great value for money.

We stayed in room 2 and could not have asked for more. Coffee machine (+milk frother !) + tea of course. Fridge with chilled milk and water and couple of beers thrown in!

Breakfast are delivered to your room and your arranged time. There was the usual orange juice, yogurts, cereals etc. the cooked breakfast wasn’t your usual fried breakfast but something a little different which we really liked, and I think you would agree when you see the quantity and taste the quality of the local produce.
Mory House is very well situated. We walked to Durley Chine where you could eat at the Durley Harvester, Hengistbury Head (be prepared to fight strong winds if it is a windy day at Mory House), Mudeford where we caught the very short boat trip over to the Quay, and Christchurch. If you find walking too much there are buses just down the high street a short walk away.

Jane said there was, and offered to move us into a larger room (room 4), which turned out to be perfect. It was like having our own suite! We had everything we needed and more. The room itself had such great amenities: great coffee pod machine, mini fridge with fresh milk, cooled water, and some very unexpected but welcome non-essentials (beer and chocolate)! Above all else, I think we had the best breakfast we've had in years. Everything was perfect. Thank you so much! More

  Breakfast at Mory House is brought to your room on a trolley at the time you request. This different way of doing things was introduced post-Covid and has been retained... read more since. Importantly, the quality of the food and the range of options on offer are both outstanding, from fresh berries and Greek yoghurt, via standard cereals and toast, to a bacon stack with sunny-side eggs or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs with a toasted muffin. A selection of complimentary soft drinks was provided in the fridge on arrival and fresh cakes could be collected from a table in the hall throughout our stay. Both a wide variety of teas (with kettle) and a coffee machine were also provided in the room, which had a substantial table for dining (so there's no need to perch food on your lap). Cleanliness was excellent. We stayed at a very hot time and the oscillating fan was much appreciated as it meant that the room stayed at a tolerable temperature. Having the windows open meant some noise during the day but nothing that disturbed our sleep. The owners are very friendly and the location is great - about 10 minutes from the sandy beach. The nearby high street offers plenty of options for somewhere to eat within about a 10 minute walk (inland) so there's no need to worry about a taxi when dining in the evening. More

The beds were very comfortable. Plenty of storage, also a settee, table and two chairs. The en-suite was roomy and spotlessly clean. Patrick and Jane have thought of everything. Breakfast is delivered to the room after ordering the night before. We felt this was a really special touch and we eagerly awaited our door knock in the morning. I highly recommend the cheese and tomato frittata. Overall I would definitely visit again and would recommend to others planning a trip. For families the beach is two minutes walk with fabulous views. More
